3 weeks of Vibe with Dr Myles Munroe

"An army of sheep led by a lion will always defeat an army of lions led by a sheep." - Myles Munroe

Over the years, I've always tried to "improve" my leadership skills. And failed miserably. Yes. It just seems so elusive, since I don't have it "naturally" like Mr Courageous or Ms Confident. Watching a video by Dr Myles Munroe, a multi-gifted international motivational speaker, best selling author and business consultant, it dawned on me that it does not start with the "skills" but the "thinking". I'd admit, I do have some faulty "leadership" thinking. Perhaps you do too.  Some of mine include:
  • I am not naturally a leader.
  • I am not extroverted/charismatic/funny/smart/spiritual enough to be a leader.
  • I can only lead "smaller" teams/projects, not big ones.
  • blah .. blah ... (insert your own faulty thinking here)
Well, I don't think I am alone, am I? The good thing is ... we can put an end to this and grapple with the truth of Leadership. Let's set aside 3 nights in July to get this stinking thinking over and done with and rise as a Leader in the process. We can:
  • Learn the right thinking and how that can put you on the Leadership path.
  • Discover the attitudes essential in your growth as a Leader
  • Realise that Leadership is your God given destiny
  • Share with one another your own Leadership journey

It will be inspiring. Enlightening. Life changing, even.
No worries. It ain't a heavy seminar - just a 40 minute video in a casual, living room setting! We're also serving PIZZA!!! Fab way to spend a Friday night!

Here's a short video on Dr Munroe, but do bear in mind that it is NOT the same video we will be watching.

I'd end with another favourite quote of mine "It's better to be a lion for a day than to be a sheep all your life." Let me hear you ROAR.

One Life to Live Series

All men died, few really ever live, echoed William Wallace in the movie Braveheart.

Our life is but a breath, short and fleeting. Yet God said He came to give us life and life to the fullest. It's only in Him that we have the hope to live life to the fullest with no regrets.

Come join us next week in continution of the series. What if we messed up in our early stage of our live? What if we really messed badly? Can God redeem that? Can we make our lives count?

One Life To Live - Make it Count!

Victory Weekend & Happy New Year

Dear Church,

The 7 Days Prayer and Fasting this year ended with Victory Weekend that we had, whereby 11 people has chosen to take that step of faith to allow God to set them free from their past and into the path of spiritual fruitfulness. It's a great joy seeing them experience and encounter God in a powerful ways. Many people have their past hurts healed and broke free from chains of bondage by the power of God. And set them into path of fruitfulness. We also had 4 person who were water baptised as a faith declaration that they are following Jesus! What a way to start the new year. I trust that all of you had a good time seeking God for breakthrough and setting your 2009 for God to use you greatly.

Picture above after water baptism.

We'll be taking 1 week break due to the Chinese New Year. Have a good trip back and when we come back - it'll be great. Exciting things coming up and we're believing for Greater Things.

Greater things in 2009,

Shawn
